ATLANTA-Members of the Student African American Brotherhood (SAAB) at Georgia Southwestern State University attended the Morehouse College Crown Forum on Nov. 11in Atlanta.

The event, honoring Jessie Jackson Sr., was held at Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel. Jackson was the featured speaker. Georgia South Western University (GSW) student leader and GSW SAAB President Tony Miller Jr. presented Jackson with a plaque honoring his lifelong achievements.

SAAB is an organization that trains college students to mentor and tutor young children in the community. It is a nationally established organization founded on the campus of GSW in 1990, by Tyrone Bledsoe and the Rev. Karl Wilson Sr. SAAB will host its .national conference April 1 and 2 in Indianapolis, Ind. GSW students are making plans to attend.

The following students attended the Crown Forum: Jay Cliatt III, Tony Miller Jr., Deandre Cunningham, Desmond Harris, Ian Wahome, Norace Thompson,Marlin Foster, Obi Ohayagha, Jephry Milloy, Terry Cunningham, Josh Morton, Greg Edwards, .Dewayne Thomas, Bryant Hayes and Jumaane Brawner.
